Our ‚favourite spot’ this week is Äss-Bar: Sandro Furnari and his team sell off yesterday’s baked goods at bargain prices. Äss-Bar now has eleven branches in Switzerland, but the original store opened in the heart of Niederdorf.
A croissant for 50 centimes? No problem at Äss-Bar! It’s the place to buy baked goods that are left on the shelves when local bakeries and confectioners close for the day – at bargain prices. Even before sustainability became such a hot topic, Sandro Furnari and his team caught people’s imagination when they decided to try to reduce food waste.

The New New

The first collection is now available to buy from the label’s own store in Neumarkt.
Herbert Kuster is the president of the Kanzlei flea market association. ‘The flea market is very close to my heart,’ says Herbert. Little wonder, then, that he is so dedicated to it – and sets up his stand there week in, week out.
